We love staying at Verde Ridge! The resort is quiet and peaceful with a friendly, helpful staff ready to assist. Especially nice is the pool area, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Also, the resort has easy access to Cottonwood as well as to Sedona--without the crowds. Love the serenity here.
Places consist of studio or one bedroom units, but they have a connecting door so can be made into a 2 bedroom unit. There are multiple hot tobs, a nice pool, and a workout room. If you like to golf there is also a golf course nearby (not part of the resort).
Staff were extremely helpful and available! The rooms were in great shape. The pool was a great place to meet other guests from other parts of the country. The laundry room was useful and the game room nearby made the time fly by.
The interior of the rooms, landscaping, and service are all excellent. However, the room completely lacked a view, blocked by other buildings on site. Other resorts I've stayed at also had more conveniences, like a small on site grocery store and activities on site. All activities at the Highlands are actually located at the sister site, 15 minutes away by car. Overall, a lovely place to spend the night but the lack of layout planning leaves much to be desired.
The room was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again.
